Task Force Denounces Extremist Remarks by Focus on the Family Leader, Who Equates Marriage Equality Supporters with 'the Forces of Hell Itself'
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 1, 2006
"James Dobson's statement this week that those fighting for marriage equality are coming 'from the forces of hell itself' is not what's appalling -- what's appalling is that the president and leaders in Congress will do his bidding whenever he cracks the whip." -- Matt Foreman, Executive Director, National Gay and Lesbian Task Force
WASHINGTON, June 1 -- On Tuesday, during his daily radio show, Family News in Focus, Focus on the Family Chairman James Dobson said: "...as you all very well know, marriage is under vicious attack now, I think from the forces of hell itself. And it's either going to continue to decline, and as I told you in my office a few minutes ago, I believe with that destruction of marriage will come the decline of Western civilization itself....We're really in a crisis point, right now, right now...where the family is either going to survive or it's going to fall apart and it will happen in the next few years...." In the past, Dobson has said same-sex marriage will destroy the U.S., destroy the earth, and is more important than the war on terror. He also has compared marriage equality advocates to Hitler and the attack on Pearl Harbor.

While I gave several outstanding issues with Bush & Co of late, this is not one of them.
Homosexuals continue to attempt to push their perverted agenda off on the rest of the nation. The very idea of two men or two women being married is ridiculous and to say the least a perversion of the norm of one man and one woman forming a union known as marriage.
Some would say I'm homophobic! I say I'm not afraid of homosexuals, I just don't like them and do no want homosexuals to be allowed the same privileges as normal men and women. If I've offended anyone by saying this, I really don't care that I have.
Oh and I'm not one of the Religious Right either, I just know perversion and right and wrong when I see it and homosexuals are perverts and homosexuality is as wrong now as it always was.
