WASHINGTON -- FBI agents put in overtime Saturday night -- at the U.S. Capitol.
They started searching the congressional office of Louisiana U.S. Rep. William Jefferson shortly after 7 p.m. It was not clear what they were gathering. An FBI spokeswoman said the search was expected to take several hours.
FBI agents searched Jefferson's homes in Washington and New Orleans last August, hauling away boxes and bags from one of the residences.
Jefferson is the focus of a corruption investigation that authorities said has already netted two guilty pleas by two associates.
The eight-term Democrat said he is innocent and won't resign.

Move along nothing to see here. Just another average day in American politics. Corruption, payoffs, and double dealing are as American as apple pie and have been since before 1776. Punishment when it does come for these criminals isn't appropriate to the crime and amounts to little more than a stay at a 'Club Fed Facility'.
