Plot allegedly involved shooting dozens
ROCKVILLE, Md., May 23 (UPI) --
Lee Boyd Malvo, convicted of participating in a 2002 Washington-area shooting spree, testified Tuesday that John Muhammad planned to kill dozens of people.
Muhammad and Malvo have been convicted in Virginia of carrying out sniper killings but face charges in Maryland, where Muhammad is currently on trial.
Malvo said Muhammad traveled to the Washington area to take custody of his three children and planned to kill six people a day for 30 days initially, The Washington Post reported.
The plot also allegedly involved setting off explosions at schools and children's hospitals, he said.
