CAPITOL HILL
de73d4e8e0b5@news.ap.org Exxon Mobil chairman Rex Tillerson says oil companies do not get together and illegally manipulate oil prices.
He tells NBC's "Today" show that he understands gas prices are causing difficulties for people, but the alternative of no gas or long lines isn't attractive either.
Tillerson pointed out that the price of oil is set on the open commodities market and the price at the pump eventually reflects that.

And if you believe this one I've got a bridge over the Ohio River I'll sell you. Yes the price is set on the open commodities market, but who controls the commodities market when it comes to oil? Why the oil companies of course.
Expecting the truth from an oil ex is like expecting charity from a banker or truth from a politician the day before an election, it ain't gonna happen!
